At a recent event, Karan Johar provided some details about the upcoming movie Emergency, which stars Kangana Ranaut. On Monday, during the Express Adda session hosted by The Indian Express, the question of which political event Karan most wants to see dramatised on film was posed to him. Karan had previously stated, “Emergency is currently being made, and I am excited to watch it.” Kangana plays the role of Indira Gandhi, the former Prime Minister of India, in the upcoming film Emergency, which is scheduled for release in November 2023. Kangana Ranaut was accused by the director Krish of taking credit for her own work on the film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi (2019). Kangana had stated that she had reshot substantial portions of the film, for which she was given a credit as a co-director, after Krish was cut from the production of the movie. In an interview that took place in 2019, Krish refuted Kangana’s assertion that she was responsible for shooting seventy percent of the film.

He had previously stated that Kangana had completed between 20 and 25 percent of the first half and only 10 to 15 percent of the second half. I skipped shooting the song, and I skipped shooting the part where she first appears. In the second half of the movie, she has even reshot some scenes, which I had previously performed in a different manner… Kangana went so far as to tell me that Zed Studios did not like what I had created. Dispute between Karan Johar and Kangana Ranaut
Their ongoing public dispute has been the subject of news coverage for the past few years. Both in interviews and on social media, the two have shown their disdain for one another. It all started during the fifth season of “Coffee With Karan,” when Kangana accused Karan of favouritism towards her family.
Kangana, who is well-known for her forthright views, made a dig at the KWK anchor by referring to him as a “flagbearer of nepotism.” Karan was taken aback by her statements, and what followed was a string of comments and reactions from both of them, as well as from other celebrities, regarding nepotism in the film industry.She had stated this in an interview with KWK: “In my biopic, if ever it’s made, you’ll play that stereotypical Bollywood biggie, who is like you know, very snooty and completely intolerant towards outsiders, flag-bearer of nepotism, the movie mafia.”
