Anil Kapoor on remarks about Tom Cruise

Speaking of Anil’s passion for Hollywood films, he told Film Companion, “I am looking forward to Christopher Nolan’s (Oppenheimer) — I always anticipate his films. I eagerly anticipate Tom Cruise’s action-oriented films. These are the individuals I most admire. I was very fortunate when I did (Ghost Protocol), and when I spoke to my then-colleagues, they told me, “No, he’s not that great.” You will discover the truth, I told you. Everyone is now a devotee of Top Gun: Maverick.”

Anil disclosed in the same interview that he encouraged his industry colleagues to pursue international initiatives. “When I suggested that they participate in international projects, they replied, “No, we’re doing good in India.” Later, I realised that everyone went to Los Angeles in secret, and that everyone went to Netflix and Amazon,” Anil said.
