PM in Rajya Sabha: On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Rajya Sabha amidst sloganeering by members of the legislature. Opposition parties continued to criticise the Adani situation and demanded an investigation by a Joint Parliamentary Committee.
Thursday, when addressing PM in Rajya Sabha, Congress president and Rajya Sabha Opposition Leader Mallikarjun Kharge objected to the deletion of a few lines from his statement. “Previous prime ministers, such as Atal Bihari Vajpayee, have used the word that was removed from my remark. “I have not made any unparliamentary remarks,” stated the Congressman. The Congress president attacked Prime Minister Modi and his government on Wednesday, questioning the increase in the Adani Group’s fortune “during the past two and a half years.” Some of Kharge’s words were removed from House records at a later date.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi responded to the debate on the Motion of Thanks to the President’s Address during the past two days. Today, both the Houses will consider the Union Budget for 2023-24.
