Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate the ‘World Food India 2023’ event at Bharat Mandapam

At the inauguration of the second iteration of the mega food event “World Food India 2023,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi will preside.The occasion will be commenced at 10 am in the Bharat Mandapam

At the inauguration of the second iteration of the mega food event “World Food India 2023,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi will preside.The occasion will be commenced at 10 am in the Bharat Mandapam located at the Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.

In order to fortify Self-Help Groups (SHGs), the Prime Minister intends to distribute initial capital assistance to more than one lakh SHG members.

“By enhancing packaging and manufacturing quality, this assistance will enable SHGs to achieve greater price realization on the market,” the Office of the Prime Minister said in an official statement.

In addition, “Food Street” will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister as part of World Food India 2023. It will showcase royal culinary heritage and regional cuisines; more than two hundred chefs will participate and exhibit traditional Indian cuisine, creating an unparalleled culinary experience.

The purpose of the occasion is to promote India as the “world’s food basket” and to mark 2023 as the International Year of Millets.

The event will furnish a forum for government entities, industry experts, farmers, entrepreneurs, and other relevant parties to convene, foster dialogues, forge alliances, and investigate potential investment prospects within the agri-food industry. There will be roundtable discussions for CEOs concerning investments and the Ease of doing Business.

A multitude of pavilions shall be erected in order to exhibit the ingenuity and prowess of the food processing sector in India.

Fifty-eight sessions will be devoted to diverse facets of the food processing sector at this event. These sessions will place particular emphasis on financial empowerment, quality assurance, and technological and mechanization advancements.

Participants from more than eighty countries, including CEOs of renowned food processing companies, are anticipated to attend the event. A Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet with over 1200 international customers from over 80 countries will also be a part of the event.
