Tuesday in Bengaluru, the Congress criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is campaigning for the Karnataka Assembly elections, and claimed that the PM insulted millions of Lord Hanuman devotees by comparing the Hindu deity to the Bajrang Dal.
“The Prime Minister and Company refuse to discuss the scam-ridden ’40 Percent BJP Sarkara’ and are solely searching for lame excuses to polarize the election. For Modi ji and the BJP, every election is about religious divisions rather than addressing the fundamental issues of nauseating corruption, back-breaking price hikes, rampant unemployment, an ugly and unacceptable concentration of wealth, and a pervasive atmosphere of hatred, charged Congress spokesman Randeep Surjewala.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi ridiculed Congress after the party’s manifesto pledged to ban the right-wing organization Bajrang Dal, stating that the party intended to imprison Lord Hanuman or Bajrangbali.

PM Modi had stated, “They (Congress) had previously imprisoned Lord Ram, and now they wished to imprison those who chant “Jai Bajrang Bali.” It is unfortunate for the country that the Congress had issues with Lord Ram and now has issues with those who exclaim “Jai Bajrang Bali.”
“Both the Constitution and the law are unambiguous: any person or organization promoting hatred or animosity must be prosecuted in accordance with the law. Prime Minister and Chief Minister are obligated to observe “RAJ DHARMA,” but they refuse to do so, Surjewala added.
The Congress spokesperson continued, “Lord Hanuman represents piety, Lord Hanuman represents devotion to reverence and duty, and Lord Hanuman represents service and sacrifice. To compare Lord Hanuman to any individual or organization is an insult, and the Prime Minister has wounded the feelings and sentiments of millions of Hanuman devotees.”
The Congress also demanded an apology from Prime Minister Modi. Karnataka will hold elections on 10 May, and tabulation will occur on 13 May.
Prime Minister & Company refuse to speak about scam ridden #40PercentBJPSarkara and are merely looking for lame duck excuses to polarise the election.
For Modi ji & BJP, each election is about divisions on ground of religion instead of answering the basic issues of nauseating…
