‘Ready to talk to Army chief for betterment for Pakistan’: Imran Khan

Ready to talk for betterment for Pakistan: ARY News reported on Friday that former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan said he is willing to speak with Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir for the betterment of the country.

Imran Khan stated to the media at his residence in Zaman Park that he will not submit to anyone and that he is not at war with the establishment, but that he is powerless if someone is unwilling to negotiate.

He dared his political opponents to establish a single instance of corruption against him and his wife. He requested the army chief to uncover any allegations of corruption against him. According to ARY News, he claimed that Qamar Javed Bajwa wounded him in the back and that he should stand trial.

He added that Mohammed bin Salman continues to communicate with him. The former prime minister stated that he has recorded a video message in response to the threats against his life in a foreign country.

Dawn, a Pakistani newspaper, reported earlier on Tuesday that arrest warrants without parole were issued for Imran Khan due to his repeated absences.

Khan was accompanied by a significant number of party members when he appeared before the courts at Islamabad’s judicial complex just hours before the warrants were issued, Dawn reported. He was granted bail in two other cases involving illegal funding and terrorism.

In four separate cases, the PTI chief was required to appear before courts in Islamabad.Khan was scheduled to be indicted in the Toshakhana case today, but his attorney asked that he be excused because he had to appear in multiple other courts. His indictment was previously postponed twice, Dawn reported.

Pakistani judge of additional sessions Zafar Iqbal has postponed the hearing until March 7.Soon after the setback, Imran Khan approached the Islamabad High Court, which granted him pre-arrest relief in the attempted murder case until March 9.Geo News reported that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) summoned the PTI chief on March 9 in connection with the Toshakhana case.

The anti-corruption watchdog has requested that the PTI chairman appear before it on March 9 at 2:30 p.m.The development occurs not long after NAB Chairman Aftab Sultan resigned for personal reasons.
