President Droupadi Murmu has arrived in Coimbatore to participate in the Isha Foundation’s Shivaratri programme. Governor RN Ravi and Mano Thangaraj, Tamil Nadu’s Minister for Information Technology, are also in attendance.

This afternoon, she began her two-day visit to the state with darshan at the Meenakshi Sundareswarar temple in Madurai (18 February).

While the Shivaratri festivities at the Isha Foundation campus last all night, President Droupadi Murmu would leave after a few hours and spend the night at the Circuit House.

The following morning (19 February), before departing for New Delhi, she will visit the Defence Services Staff College in Wellington (Nilgiris district).
