After electing to play first, the Delhi Capitals lost wickets in rapid succession after Issy Wong took three early scalps. Hayley Matthews subsequently took three more wickets. Later on, Melie Kerr also took two wickets, but Radha Yadav and Shikha Pandey remained unbeaten with 27 runs apiece, bringing their team’s total to 131/9. Later, Mumbai Indians lost some early wickets, but Nat Sciver-Brunt (60*) and Harmanpreet (37) played a match-winning innings to lead Mumbai to the tournament’s inaugural championship.
