It has become a habit for Rahul Gandhi to insult India in foreign countries: Ravi Shankar Prasad.

Ravi Shankar Prasad, leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), condemned Rahul Gandhi’s remarks at Cambridge University on Friday, stating that it has become the Congress leader’s “habit” to insult India abroad.

Ravi Shankar Prasad, leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), condemned Rahul Gandhi’s remarks at Cambridge University on Friday, stating that it has become the Congress leader’s “habit” to insult India abroad.

Recently, at Cambridge University, Rahul Gandhi claimed that an attack has been launched against the foundations of Indian democracy and that Israeli spyware Pegasus is being used to spy on his phone.

Former Union Minister Ravi Shankar  Prasad stated at a press conference on Friday, “It has become Rahul Gandhi’s custom to travel abroad, insult Indian people and institutions, and undermine national confidence.”

He stated that after “failing miserably” in India, Rahul Gandhi is now causing “chaos” abroad.

“After failing to even open an account in the Northeast, Rahul Gandhi travels to England where he refers to China as a’symbol of authenticity.’ Extremely disappointing. “At a time when G20 meetings are being held in the country and foreign ministers from various countries have arrived, Rahul Gandhi is making such statements,”Ravi Shankar Prasad said. “The Italian prime minister has called Prime Minister Modi the most popular leader in the world.

The BJP leader also attacked the Wayanad legislator for “not criticising” the terrorism in Kashmir that was sponsored by Pakistan.

“Recently, Rahul Gandhi himself raised the tricolour in Kashmir. Today, he has not criticised the terrorist activities in Kashmir even once. He stated that hundreds of individuals accompanied him in Kashmir. But he forgets that this was only possible after the BJP government repealed Article 370,” he said.

Further, he attacked the former Congress president for questioning India’s democratic process.

“It should be remembered that the democratic process that Rahul Gandhi is criticising is the same process he used to win in Wayanad after fleeing the defeat in Amethi. Not only he, but also his mother, has become an MP through the same procedure. He recently made unfounded accusations against the Prime Minister. Did he not have the liberty to do so? In addition, he was able to do so while out on bail in a corruption case. “His mother and other family members are also free on bail for’stealing’ taxpayer funds,” Prasad added.

He added that the country should consider Rahul Gandhi’s “real image.”

“Rahul Gandhi travels to a foreign country, insults Indians and Indian institutions, and praises China, but remains silent on Pakistan’s sponsorship of terrorism.” We vehemently condemn his ludicrous statements and are confident that none of the Indians living abroad will believe them. Under the leadership of PM Modi, India is becoming an economic power, and the world is praising India’s G20 leadership,” he said.

Interestingly, Prasad’s comments came after Rahul Gandhi launched a scathing attack against the Centre during a lecture at Cambridge University, alleging that an attack has been launched against the fundamental structure of Indian democracy and claiming that Israeli spyware Pegasus was being used to spy on his phone.

“Pegasus was installed on my phone. Numerous politicians had Pegasus on their mobile phones. I’ve been contacted by intelligence officers who advised me, “Please be mindful of what you say over the phone, as we are sort of recording the conversation.” Therefore, this is the constant pressure we experience. Arguments for the Opposition I have a number of criminal liability cases for matters that should not be criminal liability cases. In his address, the leader of Congress stated, “This is what we’re trying to defend.”

Rahul alleged further that the country’s Parliament, press, and judiciary were subject to restrictions.

“Everyone is aware and it has been widely reported that the Indian democracy is under pressure and attack. I am a leader of the opposition in India, and we are navigating this space. The institutional framework necessary for a democracy, including the legislature, the free press, the judiciary, and even the concept of mobilisation and movement, is becoming constrained. Therefore, the fundamental structure of Indian democracy is under attack, the Congress member asserted.

The Congress leader claimed that the Opposition leaders were “locked up” in jail for “simply standing” in front of the Parliament House to discuss certain issues, alleging that such incidents have occurred “relatively violently.” The Congress leader shared a picture of himself in a presentation slide in which he is being held by police officers.

“The Constitution of India describes India as a Union of States, and this Union necessitates negotiation and dialogue. This negotiation is being attacked and threatened. You can view the photograph taken in front of the Parliament Building. The opposition leaders were merely standing there discussing certain issues when we were arrested. It has occurred three or four times. It has occurred with considerable violence. You are also familiar with the attacks against minorities and the media. You understand what is occurring.
