According to two officials from the local government in Andhra Pradesh, Reuters was informed that Apple supplier Foxlink has evacuated 400 of its employees and stopped production at its assembly facility in Andhra Pradesh after a massive fire broke out today.

Foxlink is a company that manufactures cables for iPhones. According to J. Ramanaiah, who heads up the Disaster Response and Fire Services Department for the Tirupati district in the state, which is where the incident took place, approximately fifty percent of the machinery at the facility was destroyed, and fifty percent of the building was destroyed as well.
He stated that management at the facility had calculated the damage to be 12 million dollars (or one billion yen), and he added that there were no casualties.
