Even though they are decades apart in age, some of the best female stars today are still cast with Shah Rukh Khan. In his last few movies, Shah Rukh has dated stars like Deepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma, who are much younger than him and even grew up in different decades. Shah Rukh, who will be 58 this year, is paired with Nayanthara in Jawan, who is much younger than him.
Shah Rukh Khan and many of his peers, like Salman Khan, have co-stars who are younger than them. This seems to be a trend that has been quietly creeping up on us. He doesn’t work with big names like Kajol (49) and Juhi Chawla (55) as much as he used to.
Here’s a look at Shah Rukh’s most recent co-stars who are at least 17 years younger than him, and in some cases, more than 27 years younger.
Nayanthara, 19 years (Jawan)
In his next movie, Jawan, which comes out on September 7 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, Shah Rukh, who is 57, stars with Nayanthara, who is 38, for the first time. Deepika Padukone will also be in the upcoming action movie directed by Atlee.
Taapsee Pannu, 21 years (Dunki)
Dunki is the first collaboration between Shah Rukh and National Film Award-winning director Rajkumar Hirani, who directed the film. This will be Shah Rukh’s first collaboration with Taapsee Pannu, who turned 36 last month. The release of Dunki will occur in December 2023.
Deepika Padukone, 20 years (Pathaan)
Shah Rukh and Deepika Padukone, both 37 years old, have collaborated on numerous films, the most recent being Pathaan in 2023. Deepika was 21 years old when her debut film Om Shanti Om (2007) was released, while Shah Rukh was approximately 42 years old.
Anushka Sharma, 22 years (Zero)
Prior to Pathaan, Shah Rukh starred as the protagonist in the 2018 film Zero. In the film, he was partnered with Anushka Sharma, age 35. Anushka, who made her acting début opposite him in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008) when she was 20 and he was 43, is 22 years younger than Shah Rukh.
Katrina Kaif, 17 years (Zero)
In addition to Anushka and Shah Rukh, Katrina Kaif appeared in Zero. The 40-year-old actor is 17 years junior than Shah Rukh and worked with him in the 2012 film Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

Mahira Khan, 19 years (Raees)
In the 2017 action film Raees, Shah Rukh and Pakistani actor Mahira Khan co-starred. Mahira is 38 years old, which makes her approximately 19 years younger than Shah Rukh.
Alia Bhatt, 27 years (Dear Zindagi)
Shah Rukh and his co-star in Dear Zindagi, Alia Bhatt, both 30, had one of the largest age disparities. Shah Rukh is more than 27 years older than Alia. In the 2016 film, Alia’s character develops romantic feelings for Shah Rukh’s character, who plays her therapist. Their relationship and age difference were explored quite beautifully.
