Introduction
Republic Day is to remember the glory and valor of the brave hearts who laid their lives for the citizens to slumber in peace. India, being a country that beacons republicanism and democracy celebrates its 74th Republic Day on Jan 26th, 2023. It marks the day when the country embraced the Constitution drafted by Dr. B.R Ambedkar in 1950. Republic Day Wishes.

It starts with the Prime Minister of India laying a wreath at the National War Memorial in remembrance of the fallen martyrs. The next 90 mins will be a fervorous and magnificent parade held in New Delhi where a plethora of Army, Naval, and Airforce regiments march with vim and zest marking a spectacular view that would get anyone high on patriotism.
This year’s theme is ‘Jan Bhagidari ’ meaning the celebration should be inclusive of even the most common person. Egyptian President would be the guest of honor and march with a 120- member Egyptian contingent.
In an effort to represent ‘ Naari Shakti’, a women naval air operations officer is to lead Indian Navy’s contingent. Also, women personnel will be a part of the BSF Camel Contingent at the R-Day parade. Meanwhile, the 105 mm Indian Field Guns will be used for the ceremonial 21-gun salute replacing the vintage British 25mm Pounder guns as propulsion for ‘Vocal for Local’.
