Following his complaint regarding purported death threats, security has been heightened around actor Shah Rukh Khan. The Maharashtra government has upgraded the actor’s security rating to the Y+ category.
Shah Rukh lodged an objection.
ANI reported, citing the Maharashtra Police, that Shah Rukh had filed a formal complaint with the state government in writing. He asserted that calls threatening his life had been received subsequent to the publication of his films Pathan and Jawan.
Protection commenced on October 5th.
According to media, which cited sources, the Maharashtra State Intelligence Department (SID) instructed all district police, police commissionerates, and special protection units (SPUs) in the state to furnish “Y+ with an escort scale of security to Khan immediately effective.”
The date of the official correspondence was October 5. Additionally, it was stated that security measures were heightened in light of recent “imminent and probable” dangers to Shah Rukh. Shah Rukh will receive eleven security personnel in the Y+ category, consisting of four police personnel, six commandos, and a traffic clearance vehicle. The police officers would be stationed at his residence in Mumbai, Mannat.

What transpired in the beginning of this year?
This occurs months after security was heightened in the Mannat region in response to demonstrations against Shah Rukh. Protests arose in August against celebrities who had lent their support to online gaming applications. Two individuals breached the Mannat premises in March of this year by scaling the perimeter wall. The Mumbai Police subsequently reported that the security officers had apprehended the men.
