United Kingdom PM: British Prime Minister of Indian origin Rishi Sunak may lose his parliamentary seat in the upcoming general elections in Britain. This claim has been made by Britain’s Savanta Agency. In its survey, the agency has given the opposition Labor Party 20 more seats than the Prime Minister’s ruling Conservative Party. Sawant said in a statement on Tuesday (December 13) that the Labor Party would cross the majority mark of 314 seats. Sawant also said that Keir Starmer’s party would get 48% and the Tories would get 28% vote share in the general election.
Including PM Sunak’s constituency in Yorkshire and all the seats in the north of Lincolnshire, the Conservative Party may lose around 300 seats. Sawant also interviewed 6,237 British adults between 2 December and 5 December.
The Labor Party is far ahead of the Conservative Party in the survey
In this survey, the Labor Party has been told far ahead of the Conservative Party. It has become clear from this survey that in the elections to be held in the year 2025, PM Sunak will have to work hard to improve the image of his party. The Tory brand has failed miserably this year as MPs ousted two prime ministers, including Sunak’s first, Liz Truss.
45 percent people trust the Labor Party
On Tuesday, Delta Poll conducted a separate survey with 1,088 people. In this survey, 45% of the people told the Labor Party and 32% of the Tories as their choice. Chris Hopkins, director of political research at Savanta, said the survey suggests the 2024 result could be “very different” if Rishi Sunak narrows the Labor lead point-by-point.
How many seats in 2019
In the 2019 general election, the Tory party won a total of 365 seats. Now they have only 356 seats as a result of suspension and defeat in the by-elections. According to the latest polls released, his party can win only 69 seats compared to 482 for the Labor Party. Sawant’s survey showed that the Scottish National Party would win 55 seats and the Liberal Democrats 21.
