Vikram Kirloskar Passed Away: Vikram Kirloskar, Vice Chairman of Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt Ltd, passed away yesterday. Vikram Kirloskar, a stalwart executive of India’s automotive industry and considered the face of Toyota in the country, passed away at the age of 64. According to initial reports, Vikram Kirloskar died due to heart attack.

Toyota India has given information about this sad news on its social media handles and in this statement it has been said that Vikram Kirloskar, Vice Chairman of Toyota Kirloskar Motor, has passed away untimely on 29 November 2022 and we are deeply saddened by this. In this time of grief, we request all to pray for the peace of his soul. Our sympathies are with his family and friends. His last rites will be performed on 30 November 2022 at Hebbal crematorium at 1 pm.
Family and early life of Vikram Kirloskar
Vikram Kirloskar is survived by his wife Gitanjali Kirloskar and daughter Manasi Kirloskar. Vikram Kirloskar was a graduate from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and had held several important positions in CII, SIAM and ARAI over the years. Vikram Kirloskar was the head of the fourth generation of the Kirloskar Group. He was the chairman and managing director of Kirloskar Systems Limited. Apart from this, he was also the Vice Chairman of Kirloskar Motor Private Limited. Vikram Kirloskar was last seen publicly in Mumbai and was present at the event of Toyota Innova HyCross on 25 November 2022.

When Vikram Kirloskar was asked about the strategy of Kirloskar Motor, he said that the country’s aim is to reduce carbon emissions and we have to look at this matter holistically along with scientific basis.
