Filmmaker K Viswanath died at the age of 92
K Viswanath, a famous filmmaker who won the Dadasaheb Phalke award, died around midnight on Thursday. He was 92 years old. He died at a private hospital in this city. The news agency PTI says that the director had been sick for a while and was having problems because of his age.
In Hyderabad, former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu, film director SS Rajamouli, music director MM Keeravani, actor Chiranjeevi, and other film stars pay their last respects to veteran film director Kalatapasvi K Viswanath.
A statement from the office of Telangana’s Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said that he was sorry to hear about Viswanath’s death. “Viswanath was a very talented and rare director who took an ordinary story and turned it into a classic movie on the big screen.”
Andhra Pradesh’s Chief Minister, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, tweeted about how sad he was about the death of the filmmaker.
“Vishwanath is a reflection of Telugu art and culture. The Telugu film industry has never been more respected than it is now because of the movies he has made. As an artist, he will always be in the hearts of Telugu people “he said.

Viswanath was born in Andhra Pradesh in February 1930. He was known as “Kalatapasvi.” He was a big name in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi films, and he was the 48th person to win the Dadasaheb Phalke award, which is the highest honour in Indian film. The award was given to him for the year 2016.
Viswanath began his career as a sound artist. During his long career, he directed award-winning movies like “Sankarabharanam,” “Sagara Sangamam,” “Swati Mutyam,” “Saptapadi,” “Kaamchor,” “Sanjog,” and “Jaag Utha Insaan.” He also had a successful run in front of the camera.
Viswanath was a well-known director in the Telugu film industry. He had made 50 movies since 1965. He had also worked in both Tamil and Hindi movies.
“Aatma Gowravam,” which starred Akkineni Nageswara Rao, was his first film as a director. It won the Nandi Award for best feature film.
After “Sarada,” the director made “Chelleli Kapuram,” “O Seeta Katha,” “Jeevana Jyoti,” and “Jeevana Jyoti.”
Viswanath also acted in mainstream movies like “Swarabhishekam,” which he also directed, “Pandurangadu,” “Narasimha Naidu,” “Lakshmi Narasimha,” “Seemasimham,” “Kuruthipunal,” “Kakkai Siraginilae,” and “Bagavathi,” among others.
