New Delhi: The Delhi Police announced on Tuesday that, with the exception of a small portion of the NDMC-administered region, the whole city will be open for the G20 Summit.
In various tweets on the microblogging platform X, the police stated that all the hospitals and other vital services, including milk booths, will continue to operate in the New Delhi region.

Delhi as a whole is open. Only a little portion of NDMC will be restricted. The fact that limitations are only in place in a limited section of the NDMC is emphasized once more. Rumors should not be believed, the Delhi Police stated. The newly constructed Bharat Mandapam international convention and exposition center in Pragati Maidan will host the G20 Leaders’ Summit on September 9–10.
In a separate post, the police stated that all vital services, including milk booths, pharmacies, hospitals, and other services falling under the essential category, will continue to operate in the New Delhi region even though commercial activity is prohibited from September 8 to September 10.
Delhi Police had said on Monday that during the G20 Summit, all online delivery services in the New Delhi district will be closed, with the exception of medication delivery services.
“In all of Delhi, path labs would be permitted to take samples for essential services like postal and medical services. There will be no commercial activity permitted in the New Delhi region. “Medicine delivery will be permitted, but online delivery services will not be permitted,” Special Commissioner of Police (Traffic) SS Yadav declared on Monday.
He went on, “We will honour valid permissions granted for essential services.”
