In the last 24 hours, it has snowed all over the state. As many as nine districts have seen light to heavy snowfall, and many places have seen rain.
Because of the snow, 275 roads and 330 distribution transformers had to be shut down. The district with the most damaged roads is Lahaul and Spiti, with 175 roads, followed by Shimla, with 64 roads. Mandi district has had the most DTRs affected (147), followed by Lahaul and Spiti (106) and Shimla (24).

Due to the weather warnings, the state government asked district officials to stay on guard and make sure that the state was ready for anything. The district collectors have been told to make sure that all of the important services run smoothly and to clear snow from roads that are blocked.
Most places in Himachal Pradesh are below freezing right now, and temperatures have dropped by 3 to 4 degree Celsius in the area.

The Chief Minister also told all of the departments in the states to solve all of the people’s problems. “All the departments have been told to deal with people’s problems without making them run from one office to another,” he said.
