At least five survivors were rescued on Tuesday
Istanbul, Turkey: On Tuesday, at least five survivors were pulled from the wreckage of earthquake-stricken districts in Turkey, according to reports from local media. This comes eight days after the most devastating earthquake in the modern history of the nation.
Turkish media reported that a lady and a man were rescued from the rubble in the city of Hatay, which is located in the country’s south around 204 hours after the earthquake struck the area and portions of northwest Syria.
198 hours after the earthquake that struck Turkey on Monday, a young man called Muhammed Cafer, age 18, was pulled from the debris of a building in the southern part of the country early on Tuesday morning, according to a broadcaster named CNN Turk.
In the province of Adiyman in Turkey, broadcasters showed rescue workers carrying Cafer strapped on a stretcher, an oxygen mask on his face, and a health worker holding an IV bag, from the site of the collapsed building to an ambulance that was waiting for them. Cafer was also wearing an oxygen mask on his face.
The fingers of Cafer’s right hand could be seen wiggling as he was being dragged away.
A little time ago, rescue personnel in the neighbouring province of Kahramanmaras rescued two brothers out of the rubble of an apartment building while they were still alive.
They were named as Muhammed Enes Yeninar, 17, and his brother Baki Yeninar, 21, who was rescued after Muhammed Enes Yeninar. This information was provided by the state-owned Anadolu news agency.

Both of them were loaded into ambulances and sent to the hospital. It was not obvious what their condition was.
The number of people killed as a result of the calamity in Turkey and the neighbouring country of Syria has already surpassed 37,000.
