CJ Harris, a vocalist on the 13th season of “American Idol,” died.
31-year-old Alabaman.
Harris died Sunday in Jasper, Alabama, after a suspected heart attack, according to TMZ.
Harris placed sixth in “Idol” season 13 on Fox in 2014, performing Darius Rucker’s “Radio,” John Mayer’s “Waiting on the World to Change,” and Ray LaMontagne’s “Shelter.”
“You sing ‘cause you have to sing, not ‘cause you want to sing,” ‘Idol’ judge Keith Urban said Harris during the competition.
I mean that deeply.

Jessica Meuse, who competed with Harris on Idol season 13, paid tribute on Instagram.
“Your talent and smile will be missed,” she wrote.
“I’ll miss your random phone calls for life advice and music talk…
I’ll never understand many things, including your sudden departure.”
The musician auditioned for American Idol on a Tuscaloosa bus tour and sang in Salt Lake City for judges Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez, and Harry Connick Jr.
