Tuesday, Reliance Jio announced the debut of its 5G services in 50 cities, calling it the largest-ever rollout of these services.
Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Puducherry, and Kerala are home to these cities, as per a Jio announcement.
Other States include Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
Jio consumers in 184 cities can now use 5G services, according to the telco’s announcement.
“Reliance Jio announced today the largest-ever launch of its True 5G services in 50 cities,” the firm stated.
Starting today, Jio consumers in these cities will be asked to participate in the Jio Welcome Offer, which provides unlimited data at speeds of up to 1 Gbps plus at no additional cost.
“We are happy to announce the launch of Jio True 5G services in an additional 50 locations across 17 states and union territories, bringing the total to 184. This is by far one of the largest deployments of 5G services, not only in India but globally “Jio spokeswoman added.
The cities include Chittoor, Ongole, Kadapa (Andhra Pradesh); Nagaon (Assam); Bilaspur, Korba (Chhattisgarh); Panaji (Goa); Ambala, Hisar, Karnal, Panipat, Rohtak (Haryana); Hassan, Mandya (Karnataka) among others.
