Toshakhana case: Massive protests outside Imran Khan’s Lahore home | 5 Points

Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) appealed to all party workers to immediately arrive at the former prime minister’s residence to stop his probable arrest.

Geo News reported that the Islamabad Police have arrived at the Lahore residence of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan in Zaman Park with an arrest warrant in connection with the Toshakhana case. The police were unable to apprehend Khan because he was not at home when they arrived.This comes days after a sessions court issued an arrest warrant without parole for Khan in the Toshakhana case due to his repeated failure to appear.

1. Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) urged all party members to rush to the residence of the former prime minister to prevent his arrest. Thousands converged in front of Khan’s residence in Lahore to protest his arrest.

According to the arrest warrant, Khan is required to appear in court on March 7 following his detention. According to the report, the Inspector General of Islamabad issued an order for Imran Khan’s detention today.

5.The media in Pakistan began to report that Khan earned Rs 36 million from the sale of three costly watches given to him by visiting dignitaries from the Gulf states. The former prime minister informed the Election Commission of Pakistan that he earned Rs 58 million from the sale of gifts obtained from the state treasury after paying Rs 21.56 million.

Among the gifts were a Graff wristwatch, a pair of cufflinks, a costly pen, a pendant, and four Rolex watches. Imran Khan responded to the controversy by asserting that the presents were his, so he was free to use them as he saw fit.
