In a survey conducted by the American consulting firm ‘Morning Consult,’ Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was ranked as the world’s most popular leader, with a 78% approval rating.
According to the survey, PM Modi has higher approval ratings than world leaders such as French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, and American President Joe Biden. Approximately 22 world leaders were surveyed for the ratings poll.
The research firm Political Intelligence stated that the “Global Leader Approval” survey was based on information gathered between January 26 and January 31 of this year.
As sample sizes varied between countries, the company compiled a seven-day moving average of the adult population of each country.
PM Modi of India received an approval rating of 78%, which was significantly higher than President Biden’s rating of 40%.
The second-place finisher was Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador with a 68% approval rating, and the third-place finisher was Swiss President Alain Berset with a 62% approval rating.
According to the data shared on the website of the US-tracking firm, PM Modi received 78% approval while 18% disapproval as a leader.
The company regularly revises the list, which currently ranks US Vice President Joe Biden seventh.

Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store, South Korean President Yoon Seok-youl, and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida occupied the bottom three spots on the list of 22 nations.
Giorgia Meloni, the newly elected and first female Prime Minister of Italy, ranked sixth with 52% of the vote.
With a 58% approval rating, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese was also ranked fourth in the survey.
