The Noida Police detained six individuals on Thursday, including YouTuber Elvish Yadav, for allegedly using snake venom at rowdy parties.

The Noida Police detained six individuals on Thursday, including YouTuber Elvish Yadav, for allegedly using snake venom at rowdy parties. The allegations contained in the FIR were in violation of the Wildlife (Protection) Act and the Indian Penal Code (IPC) criminal conspiracy provision. Although the UP police have apprehended five of the individuals identified in the FIR, Yadav has denied the allegations and guaranteed complete collaboration with them regarding this issue.

Who is Elvish Yadav and what are the charges against him?

Elvish Yadav is a Gurugram-born Indian YouTuber and performer. After winning the Salman Khan-hosted reality show “Big Boss OTT 2,” he gained notoriety this year.

Elishh initiated his YouTube career in 2016 with the launch of his channel ‘The Social Factory’, which featured conceptual short films and flash fiction as its primary content. It was subsequently renamed Elvish Yadav. ‘Elvish Yadav vlogs’ was an additional YouTube channel he launched in 2019 where he critiqued films with his family and friends and posted daily vlogs. Later in 2023, he launched Elvish Yadav Gaming, an additional gaming YouTube channel.

Yadav, who is also a social media influencer, is the proprietor of two clothing labels, “Systumm clothing” and “Elgro Women,” as well as the “Elvish Yadav Foundation,” an NGO that provides free meals to the indigent and education to underprivileged children.

In response to a complaint lodged by an animal welfare activist on Thursday, Yadav, five others identified as Rahul, Titunath, Jayakaran, Narayan, and Ravinath were charged with supplying snake venom for recreational purposes at a party in Delhi-National Capital Region. People For Animals has lodged a complaint alleging that Elvish Yadav was solicited by the NGO led by Maneka Gandhi to coordinate a trance party and procure cobra venom. “Elvish provided us with the contact information for Rahul, whom we established communication with.” He stated that he was capable of arranging the venom in any location we desired. He then carried the Venom to the Banquet Hall of Sector 51. “The Noida police and the DFO subsequently arrived at the location and arrested the organizers,” the complaint continued.

Elvish Yadav stated in response to the FIR that the allegations are “completely unfounded and fabricated.” He issued the following statement: “I shall accept accountability in the event that even a 1% degree of my participation in this matter is established. Additionally, the media should refrain from defaming me unless an investigation is conducted into my involvement.
