(April 2).

The league phase consists of 70 matches between March 31 and May 21 in 12 different cities. In addition to the ten normal locations – Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, Lucknow, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Mohali – some matches will also be played in Guwahati (the second home of the Royals) and Dharamsala (the second home of the Kings).

In 2021, an attempt was made to play throughout the Indian summer, but a breach of the bio-secure bubble halted the season in the middle, and the second half of the season began in September in the UAE. In 2022, the tournament was contested in India during the March-May window, although the full league phase took place in Mumbai and Pune, while the playoffs and final took place in Kolkata and Ahmedabad.
