President Zelensky Planning To Meet Xi Jinping

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said while speaking on the anniversary of the war with Russia that he plans to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping to discuss Beijing’s peace proposals.

Zelensky To Meet Xi Jinping: Friday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced his intention to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The New York Post reported that this comes after Beijing urged for peace talks to end the Russia-Ukraine war.

US media reported that Zelensky refused to negotiate with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He stated, “I intend to confer with Xi Jinping.” The Ukrainian president did not indicate when or where the meeting would occur.

According to the New York Post, he stated from Kyiv, “It is an essential signal that they are preparing to participate in this theme.” He was referring to China’s efforts to broker peace between the two countries.”So far, I see this as a portent, but I cannot predict what will occur in the future,” he said.

Zelensky cautioned Russia’s ally China against supplying Moscow with armaments.”I want to believe that China will not deliver weapons to Russia, and this is extremely essential to me,” he said.

“This is the first point.”The notion of negotiating with Putin was rejected.New York Post reported that in response to a query from a Turkish reporter, Zelensky stated that he had asked Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to mediate negotiations with the Russian president in an attempt to avert a full-scale war.

“At that moment, [Erdogan] was unable to do it. Now he believes he can [persuade Putin to negotiate] “Zelensky said. “However, we cannot do so now because it is not the same individual. There is no one to converse with.”Thursday, Dai Bing, China’s deputy ambassador to the United Nations, stated that sending weapons to Ukraine will only add fuel to the conflict and escalate tensions rather than bring peace.

Speaking at the eleventh emergency Special Session on Ukraine in the United Nations, China’s deputy ambassador, alluding to Western nations, said, “The international community should make joint efforts to facilitate peace talks when aired into the Ukraine crisis, brutal facts provide ample proof that sending weapons will not bring peace and that adding fuel to the fire will only exacerbate tensions.”

“Prolonging and escalating the conflict will only impose a heavier burden on ordinary people. We reiterate our appeal that diplomacy and negotiation cannot be abandoned; cease-fire efforts and discussions must continue “he added.

Instead of fighting fires and pursuing self-interest, Dai urged the international community to “cease misusing unilateral sanctions and long-arm jurisdiction.” They should instead act in a manner conducive to de-escalation.
