Manish Sisodia Arrested By ED: Manish Sisodia arrested by another central agency a day prior to his bail hearing in the Delhi liquor policy case before a Central Bureau of Investigation court, according to sources.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested the Delhi Deputy Chief Minister after questioning him for two days over alleged money laundering while drafting the new liquor policy, which was scrapped after Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena requested an investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

The detention by the ED complicates matters for Mr. Sisodia, who was requesting bail from the CBI court. The ED will exhibit him in court tomorrow, the same day his probable bail hearing will occur.Mr. Sisodia is being held in the Tihar jail in Delhi under judicial detention after his arrest by the CBI on February 26 ended.
Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal tweeted that the ED action is intended to prevent his party colleague Mr. Sisodia from leaving the country.”Manish was initially apprehended by the CBI. The CBI found no evidence, and no money, during the operation. Tomorrow, a parole hearing will occur. Tomorrow, Manish would have been released.
Thus, ED apprehended him today. They have only one objective, which is to keep Manish imprisoned at all costs by fabricating daily fake cases. People are observing. The populace will respond, “Tonight, Mr. Kejriwal tweeted in Hindi.
In drafting the Delhi liquor policy, Mr. Sisodia and others are accused of permitting liquor cartelisation and favouring specific merchants. The AAP has denied accepting bribes from merchants or politicians.
The BJP asserts that the AAP would not have rescinded its liquor policy if it was certain it had not committed any wrongdoing.
