AAP leader Manish Sisodia arrives at Delhi residence to meet ailing wife

Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and AAP leader Manish Sisodia arrives at his residence on Saturday, after the Delhi High Court granted him permission to meet his ailing wife.

Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and AAP leader Manish Sisodia arrives at his residence on Saturday, after the Delhi High Court granted him permission to meet his ailing wife.

Yesterday, the Delhi High Court authorized Sisodia to visit his ailing wife from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today. Sisodia will be in police custody during the meeting, according to the court.

Sisodia had previously moved for an interim bail, citing the infirmity of his wife.

Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma instructed Manish Sisodia not to interact with the media, use a mobile phone, or access the internet after granting him parole.

“The court further ordered that the medical report be verified and Sisodia’s wife’s medical report be provided by tomorrow evening.

During this time, Sisodia will not meet with anyone other than immediate family members, per the court order.

Sisodia’s legal team also petitioned the Delhi High Court for interim parole, citing his wife’s illness. The interim bond is requesting six weeks of bail from the court.

The ED on March 9 arrested former Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia in the liquor policy case, after hours of interrogation at Tihar Jail.

Sisodia was previously detained by the CBI as part of its ongoing investigation into a case involving alleged irregularities in the formulation and implementation of the National Capital Territory of Delhi’s (GNCTD) excise policy.
