Sisodia’s judicial custody extended: On Monday, a Delhi court extended judicial custody of Manish Sisodia’s by 14 days in the case registered by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) regarding irregularities in the formulation and implementation of the Delhi liquor excise policy.
On February 27, he was brought before the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi and placed in CBI detention for five days.The CBI custody was extended for an additional two days before he was transferred to judicial custody.

As Sisodia is presently in the custody of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in relation to the liquor excise policy case, he was brought before the special judge MK Nagpal via video conferencing.
In the related money laundering case, the Delhi Rouse Avenue Court placed Arun Pillai in judicial custody for 14 days on Monday. As the conclusion of his four-day ED detention approached, he was brought before the court.On March 6, ED apprehended Pillai, who was previously charged by the CBI and granted bail by the Rouse Avenue Court.
ED alleged that Pillai is a crucial figure in the alleged case involving the payment of enormous kickbacks and the formation of the cartel’s “south group.”It was also alleged that Pillai was coordinating with various individuals to implement a political agreement between the’south group’ and AAP leaders and was involved in bribery from the’south group’ and their recoupments.

On the previous date of hearing, while seeking an extension of police custody, ED submitted to the court that Pillai must face K Kavitha and Magunta Sreenivasulu Reddy, who had been summoned and appeared before ED on Monday.
