Kalikesh N Singh Deo will assume all presidential responsibilities. The sports ministry instructed the NRAI to adhere to the National Sports Code’s provision regarding the president’s 12-year term. The NRAI considers this order to be arbitrary and issued without examining the specifics of the situation.
