There are two main reasons why Indian automobile purchasers choose larger vehicles: (1) they live in joint families and want to take long road trips as a group, and (2) they like the increased street presence that larger vehicles provide. In response to this demand, numerous automakers in India have developed and are releasing Upcoming 7-Seater Cars in India in 2023, the following 7-seater vehicles will be available in India:
1. Maruti Jimny 5-door SUV
At the Auto Expo 2020, Maruti Suzuki debuted the Jimny for the first time. The tiny sport utility vehicle (SUV) is currently on sale in several countries, excluding India. In contrast to the typical off-road vehicle’s 3-door architecture, Maruti is almost ready to release a 7-seater variant with a conventional 5-door structure. By April of this year, a new model will be available to compete with the Mahindra Thar and the Force Gurkha. The SUV will be powered by a 1.5-liter petrol engine (like the Vitara Brezza) that generates 103 horsepower and 135 Nm. A low-range transfer case for the SUV’s 4×4 system is also in the works.

When it comes to affordable off-road vehicles, nobody can touch the Mahindra Thar. A lot of people are scared away from investing in this SUV because it just has three doors. This results in a loss of efficiency. In response, Mahindra is developing a 5-door variant with extra access points and room for seven passengers. In 2023, this will make it one of the most capable 7-seater vehicles to hit the roads in India.
Mahindra’s pentalink suspension technology will be installed on the new Thar, together with Watt’s Linkage in the back. The result should be better handling and a smoother ride. A 150 PS 2.0-liter turbo gasoline and a 130 PS 2.2-liter turbo diesel will be available. Both a manual and an automatic 6-speed transmission will be available.
