Girls’ education is emphasised by President Murmu in her address to the first legislature.

Murmu mentioned the “Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana,” which enables the creation of savings accounts for the promising future of girls throughout the nation.

The first round of the budget session for the legislature will last through February 10. On March 12, the Parliament will reassemble, and it will meet again until April 6.In her first speech to the legislature on Tuesday, President Droupadi Murmu noted that “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” has been a great success and that women are well-represented in all fields. She claimed that the administration has been working to eliminate all obstacles to ‘daughters’ careers and education.

Murmu discussed the “Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana,” which enables the opening of savings accounts for the promising futures of daughters around the nation, as well as how the new National Education Policy has made significant advancements in the education of females.

President Murmu stated in her statement that “my government has also assured that women are not prevented from carrying out any work or engaging in any sector of labour.” Murmu said that initiatives like the sanitary pad programme or the installation of separate restrooms for girls in the nation’s government schools had a big impact on the drop-out rate. She also praised the “Swacch Bharat Abhiyan,” saying that it enhanced women’s dignity and helped establish a safe atmosphere for them.

When discussing the hiring of women in various fields, Murmu stated that there are prospects for women in everything from mining to army forward positions. She applauded the government’s initiatives to let female students to enrol in Sainik and military institutions.

Droupadi Murmu emphasised entrepreneurship and innovation, noting that government initiatives in these areas had tapped into the nation’s potential. She said that India’s advancement in innovation can be observed in its ascent in the Global Innovation Index, from 81st in 2015 to 40th in 2022, and that just a few hundred start-ups were officially established in India seven years ago, but today there are about 90,000.

Regarding the Angiveer Yojana, Murmu said, “In today’s era, it is very necessary for our troops to be endowed with youth power, to be adept in fighting, and to be equipped with the power of technology.” She claimed that the programme will give the nation’s youth the best possible chances to join the armed forces.

In her first speech at the budget session since entering office in July of last year, President Murmu. The President gave his traditional address to a joint session of Parliament on Tuesday to kick off the budget session. The Finance Minister then tabled the Economic Survey.
