Adityanath lashes out at Akhilesh Yadav: Couldn’t even respect your father

The fiery exchange was sparked by the opposition’s questions about the killing of a witness in the murder case of a BSP MLA who was shot dead in Prayagraj a day ago.

Yogi Adityanath lashes out at Akhilesh Yadav: Saturday in the state assembly of Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath lashes out at opposition leader Akhilesh Yadav, even referencing his feud with his father, in response to difficult queries about the public killing of a witness in a murder case the previous day.

“Is it not true that Atiq Ahmed, who has been accused by the victim’s family, is a member of the mafia that the Samajwadi Party has nurtured, and that we have only worked to break its back?” Mr. Yadav, said Yogi Adityanath, pointing a finger at him.

“He is the patriarch of all professional criminals and the mafia, Mr. Speaker. They are criminal by nature… And I am here today to tell you that we will destroy this syndicate “The Prime Minister, wagging his finger again at Mr. Yadav, said.

The priest-politician has cultivated a far more moderate public image since he took over the state in 2017, storing away years of incendiary speeches as the founding leader of the right-wing organisation Hindu Yuva Vahini.

The leader of the Samajwadi Party responded to the outcry by declaring, “Criminals are yours.” Previously, he had called the state police in “Ram Rajya” a “complete failure.”

“There is daylight gunfire, explosives are thrown, and a witness is murdered. What are security officers doing? What does the government accomplish? Where are the twin engines located? Is this a movie shoot? “Mr Yadav said.

At one point, the Chief Minister told Mr. Yadav, “You should be ashamed, you couldn’t even respect your own father,” in allusion to a dispute between the Samajwadi Party leader and his father, Mulayam Singh Yadav.

The opposition’s queries about the killing of a witness in the murder case of a Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLA who was murdered in Prayagraj on Friday sparked the heated exchange. The assault was captured by numerous CCTV cameras.Umesh Pal, a vital witness in the 2005 murder case of MLA Raju Pal, was gunned down by an unidentified assailant as he stepped out of the backseat of an SUV on the state’s busiest main road in Prayagraj.

The incident undermined the Adityanath government’s claims of improving the state’s law and order, according to the Samajwadi Party, which linked it to the BJP’s increasing alliance with Mayawati’s BSP.
