Listen to the article:
Metro said that a tiger attacked a circus trainer during a live show in the Italian province of Lecce on Thursday night. This was a very scary event. A video of the event, which has been shared on several social media sites, shows the scary moment when the big cat pulled the circus trainer to the ground.
In the Twitter video, the circus trainer is focused on another tiger when the second tiger comes up behind him and attacks. Ivan Orfei, a 31-year-old trainer, screams in pain and tries to get out of the tiger’s grip as the huge cat bites his neck and punctures his leg with its teeth. People in the audience can be heard screaming at the same time.

Mr. Orfei got away from the tiger only because his assistant hit the tiger with a table, which let him limp away. He had deep cuts on his neck, leg, and arm when he was taken to the Vito Fazzi hospital in Lecce. He was lucky that his injuries were not life-threatening, and he is now being treated in the hospital. After the show, the tiger was put in a separate area so that it could be checked by a vet.
After the accident, the circus posted a statement that said, “The management of Marina Orfei Circus hugs their colleague Ivan Orfei, who was hurt yesterday in an accident at their own Circus Amedeo Orfei in Surbo.” Ivan, a professional trainer with a lot of skill, was hit by a tiger during the show. He only got minor injuries, so there’s no reason to worry about his health.
We live in a world where people care a lot about animals, despite the prejudices, insults, and lies that are written about us. Ivan shows the audience this in his shows. Tigers are very interesting animals, and people have been learning how to tame them and get them to trust people for hundreds of years, and not just in the Circus. But accidents can happen, and people like him who do this job with courage are admirable. Ivan wants to go back to the track with his family and animal friends as soon as possible.
