At least four people were reported slain in a shooting incident at the Bathinda Military Station on Wednesday morning, but police sources have ruled out a terrorist motive.
According to sources, all Bathinda Army Cantonment entry gates have been closed. They reported that an Insas rifle with 28 cartridges went missing approximately two days ago, and Army personnel may be responsible.

According to a statement from the Indian Army’s South Western Command, the incident occurred at approximately 4:35 am within the Bathinda Military Station.
The Army stated that a search operation is currently under way.

“Four people were reportedly injured in the incident. The station’s rapid response teams were activated and the area was sealed off. The search operation is underway, the HQ SW Command was informed.
