Shortly after takeoff, an on-board computer problem forced an Air India Express flight from Thiruvananthapuram to Muscat to make an emergency landing at Trivandrum Airport. According to the news agency PTI, there were 105 people on board.

The flight, IX 549, left the capital city of Kerala at 8:30 a.m. and returned to the international airport at 9:17 a.m. because of a technical problem.
A representative for Air India Express said that all 105 people on board and the cabin crew are safe. He said that the airline is trying to get the passengers on another flight, which is expected to leave here at 1 p.m. He also said that everyone on board is getting good care.
