Delhi To Exhibit Vintage Cars and Bikes Before G20 Summit
New Delhi: The Delhi government is hosting an event on Sunday in preparation for the G20 Summit, and they plan to exhibit around 50 vintage cars, including a 1928 Rolls Royce Phantom I, and over 20 vintage bikes.
On February 26 from the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, the Delhi government’s Transport Department and the Heritage Motoring Club of India (HMCI) will hold “Vintage for Life—The G20 Vintage Cars Drive,” which will be marked off by Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena.
“The event, which features a focus on the G20, will feature around 50 vintage cars and 23 bikes and bicycles. The oldest vehicle at the event was manufactured in 1928, while the newest was produced in the 1970s “An HMCI executive confirmed to PTI that the rumours were true.
He mentioned a 1928 Rolls Royce Phantom I and a 1928 Model A Ford as examples of vintage cars.
The rally’s goals are to promote the cause of restoring vintage cars and to draw attention to the fact that India is chairing the G20 at the moment.
A high-ranking Transport Department official has stated that several activities will be held in the run-up to the G20 meeting.
“The plan is to get the general public excited about the fact that India would be hosting such a famous event later this year, and to encourage their participation. It was also the position of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that citizens should be included in such endeavours. The fact that some cars made in G20 countries will be on show adds a unique dimension to this vintage car drive “His words.
Attendees of the Vintage Car drive will also have opportunities to pose for selfies and take photographs of the vehicles from a variety of vantage points.
They may share their photos to Instagram with the hashtag #VintageforLife, and a panel of judges will choose the winners, who will get iPads.

Delhi will play home to the Group of 20 (G20) summit conference and seven other events beginning in March.
