The Bus accident occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning in the Khopoli district of Raigad, and according to the Maharashtra state police, it resulted in the deaths of twelve people and injuries to more than twenty-five others.
He also mentioned that there is a search and rescue operation going on.
“There were 40 to 45 people in the bus, out of which seven people have died while more than 25 people are injured in bus accident, the rescue is still underway, a crane has been called to pull out the bus,” said the Superintendent of Police for the Raigad district.
The bus can be seen in the images taken at the scene crashing into a ditch, and the accident caused the bus’s windows and roof to be shattered totally.
Ropes were used by the people who were tasked with rescuing the victims of the accident so that they could lead the victims to safety.
The individuals on board the bus belonged to a group that was based in the Goregaon region. They had attended an event in Pune and were now making their way back home.
