After bomb threat, Moscow-Goa flight lands in Gujarat

On Monday, officials said that a chartered flight from Moscow to Goa with 244 people on board was rerouted to Gujarat’s Jamnagar after an air traffic controller in Goa got a bomb threat.
“All 236 passengers and eight crew members were safely evacuated, and the plane is being checked by local authorities, the police, and the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad,” said Ashok Kumar Yadav, Inspector General of Police (Rajkot and Jamnagar Range).

Officials at the Jamnagar airport say that the plane is in a special area.

A police officer in Goa said that the flight that left Moscow was supposed to land at the Dabolim airport. As a precaution, he said, the Goa Police have increased security at and around the Dabolim airport.
