Joe Biden’s personal attorney said on Wednesday that the FBI had searched the president’s residence in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, but had found no sensitive materials.
Joe Biden’s attorney, Bob Bauer, confirmed that the FBI did remove some documents and handwritten notes for additional review. Three hours and fifteen minutes were spent looking.
Bauer stated that the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) search of the President’s Rehoboth properties, which had been scheduled in advance and carried out in agreement with the President’s legal team, was now complete. According to the report, “the search lasted from 8:30 a.m. till noon.”
He stated that “no classified markings were identified” in the documents.
Bauer stated that investigators “took for further consideration several items and handwritten notes that appear to relate to his time as Vice President” during their search of Biden’s home in Wilmington, Delaware last month.
Bauer had already confirmed earlier that day that police were at the house conducting a search warrant. According to Bauer, Biden “fully supported and cooperated” with the search effort.
According to Bauer, “DOJ sought to perform this work without advance public notice in the interests of operational security and integrity, and we agreed to assist.” This was in accordance with typical DOJ practises. We will continue to provide full support and facilitate this search as it is part of a comprehensive and timely Department of Justice procedure. After today’s investigation is finished, we will have more details to share.

By midday, black SUVs and sedans were spotted pulling up to the house by reporters stationed in the nearby coastal village.
On January 11, Biden’s personal attorneys conducted a check of his Rehoboth house and discovered no classified materials there.
The search in Rehoboth is the third time federal investigators have been rumoured to have looked through Biden’s belongings for secret documents.
