Ranbir Kapoor not working on Sourav Ganguly’s biopic
Ranbir Kapoor has put an end to rumours that he would star in a biopic about the former cricketer Sourav Ganguly.Ranbir was asked by the press at a promotion event for his upcoming rom-com “Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar” if he was making a movie about Sourav Ganguly’s life.
Ranbir said, “I think dada (Sourav Ganguly) is a living legend not just in India but all over the world. A movie about his life will be very interesting. Unfortunately, I didn’t get an offer for this movie (I have not been offered this film). I think the people who make the Luv movies are still working on the script.”
He did confirm, though, that he is working on a movie about the late actor and singer Kishore Kumar.

“I’ve been working on Kishore Kumar’s biopic for 11 years.” “I’ve been working on Kishore Kumar’s biopic for 11 years.” Anurag Basu and I have been writing that, and I hope it will be my next biopic. But so far, I haven’t heard anything about the biopic being made about dada. I don’t know, then,” Ranbir said.
Ranbir was seen playing cricket with Sourav Ganguly at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens early on Sunday.
A number of photos of the two of them on the field were posted online.
Sourav wore a white T-shirt and black pants, while Ranbir wore a black T-shirt and black pants. On the actor’s T-shirt, it said “Ranbir’s Makkar XI,” and on Sourav’s T-shirt, it said “Dada’s Jhooti XI.”
Ranbir’s ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ is scheduled to hit the theatres on March 8.
