The Yamuna River in Delhi is once again rising and is well above the critical level.

News about the flooding in Delhi: As “the Central Water Commission estimates that it can reach 206.1 metres overnight,” Atishi has asked residents to remain in relief camps.

After the Yamuna river flooded the neighbouring neighbourhoods during the monsoon season on Monday in Mayur Vihar in New Delhi, people from low-lying districts moved their things to a safer place.(PTI) The water level in the Yamuna in Old Delhi is expected to climb again on Monday night after falling for two days. With “the Central Water Commission estimating it can reach 206.1 metres overnight,” Atishi, a cabinet minister in Delhi, has asked people to remain in relief camps.

She insisted, however, that the people of Delhi should not worry.She said the water level in the Yamuna rose marginally due to the heavy rainfall in various parts of Haryana on Sunday.The Central Water Commission reported that the Yamuna’s water level was 205.87 metres at 2:00 p.m., which was above the 205.33-meter danger mark.At 7 o’clock, the CWC website predicted, the Yamuna would reach 205.83 metres, and by 9 o’clock, it would reach 206.1 metres.However, those now staying in shelters are urged to postpone their return home. After the water level has dropped below the red line, you may return to your dwellings.
