Indian Navy Day: On the lines of Air Force, Navy will also celebrate Foundation Day outside Delhi, President Draupadi Murmu himself will see the power

On the lines of the Air Force, the Navy is also going to celebrate its Foundation Day this year outside the capital Delhi in Visakhapatnam, adjacent to the Bay of Bengal. December 4 is the 51st Foundation Day of the Navy.

On the occasion of the Navy’s foundation day, the President and the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Draupadi Murmu will also be present in Visakhapatnam and will see the power of the Navy herself.

According to a Navy spokesperson, on the occasion of Navy-Day this year, warships, submarines, helicopters and fighter aircraft will show their maneuvers in the sea adjacent to Visakhapatnam in the presence of the President.

A band-performance program of the Navy will also be organized at RK Beach in the port-city. During this, senior officers of the Navy including Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar will also be present.

 

For the first time in the history of the Navy, Navy Day is being celebrated outside the capital Delhi. Earlier, Air Force Day (8 October) was also celebrated outside the capital Delhi in Chandigarh this year.

On the occasion of Navy’s Foundation Day, all the warships in the sea will be decorated with special lights in the evening.

Navy’s Marine Commandos will demonstrate beach-assault on Visakhapatnam Beach (Coast). Sky-diving will also be done from the sky.

Army Day coming next month (15 January 2023) will also be celebrated outside Delhi in Bengaluru.

Indian Navy had made a decisive attack against Pakistan in the 1971 war, Navy Day is celebrated every year on 4 December.

 

On 4th December 1971, the Indian Navy broke the backbone of Pakistan by carrying out a major attack on Pakistan’s Karachi port.
