The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert of dense fog for Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh during the next 4 to 5 days. Apart from this, there is a possibility of dense fog in different areas in Bihar and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during 20 December and 21 December.

Due to the fog, about 150-200 meters visibility is still left in Delhi. However, it increases as the day passes. According to the Meteorological Department, today the minimum temperature of Delhi is 6 degree Celsius. Due to dense fog, the visibility at Palam airport was reduced to 50 meters around 6 am. For this reason, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in Delhi from 5.30 am to 8.30 am.

Cold wave conditions will continue in North India

According to IMD, there is no possibility of any significant change in the minimum temperature over northern parts of India during the next 4 to 5 days. Cold wave conditions are going to continue in different parts of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and North Rajasthan. Talking about Uttar Pradesh, today the minimum temperature in the capital Lucknow will be 9 degrees and the maximum temperature will be 22 degrees.

Visibility from Bathinda to Kolkata

IMD recorded the lowest visibility at 5.30 am today. There is zero visibility in Bathinda. 25 meters in Amritsar, Ganganagar, Patiala, Delhi (Palam) and Lucknow, 50 meters in Safdarjung and Purnea areas of Delhi, 200 meters in Ambala and Agra, 300 meters in Gorakhpur and 500 meters in Bareilly, Patna, Gaya and Kolkata. done.
